Choose a material for your packaging

For honey jars handled in kitchens or at market stalls, gloss laminated paper offers a shiny finish and protection against scuffs and light splashes. It is water-resistant, not waterproof: do not soak the label or expect it to withstand repeated washing. Gloss or matte paper is another option for dry packaging. If your packaging needs stronger moisture resistance, compare matte BOPP film and check the available sizes before ordering.

Find the right label size

An 8 oz or 16 oz jar does not have one universal label size. Jar shapes differ, and honey sold by net weight is not the same measurement as a jar’s fluid capacity. Measure the straight-sided face between the shoulder and base. For a smaller face, test a 2 × 3 inch rectangle or capsule oval cut from paper. For a wider 16 oz jar, a 2 × 4 inch oval may be worth testing. Our dedicated honey label is 2.5 × 3.5 inches; use it only when the usable face accommodates that size.

Application tips for a better finish

On a curved honey jar, keep the entire label inside the smooth labeling panel. Embossed glass, shoulders and ridges reduce contact and can encourage lifting. Remove honey residue and let the outside dry completely before labeling. Align one edge, then smooth across gradually. A paper cutout helps you check placement before committing to a printed roll.

Artwork, proofs and fast turnaround

Choose the size, material and quantity on the product page, then upload your artwork or email it with your order number. A basic file check and digital proof are included. Use vector artwork where possible, or a sharp 300 DPI image at the finished size. For edge-to-edge printing, extend the background 4 mm beyond the cut line and keep important text safely inside it. Printed colors can differ from a screen; the proof confirms layout rather than an exact color match.

Most orders ship within 2 business days after proof approval. Some products list 3–5 business days, so check your selected listing before planning a launch.
